The Local Government Association of Queensland has welcomed the appointment of Frankie Carroll as Queensland Under Treasurer.
LGAQ chief executive Greg Hallam said Mr Carroll would bring the right mix of skills, experience and common sense to one of the most demanding jobs in the State’s bureaucracy.
Mr Hallam said Mr Carroll has a good track record of collaborating with local government to help drive benefits for Queenslanders.
“Frankie has a thorough understanding of the needs of local government and I’m sure he will do all he can in this role to help improve the financial sustainability of councils,” he said.
