10 ways your council can get involved in LG Sherlock

Published: 22nd February 2018

From drinking water to graffiti management, the LG Sherlock team has developed more than 50 analytics projects following consultation with councils across the state.

Here’s a sneak preview of the top priority projects for 2018 – the first two are already underway, with four projects to progress this financial year.

If you’d like to express interest in your council getting involved, contact the LG Sherlock team: sherlock@lgaq.asn.au or 1300 542 700.

Put your hand up for LG Sherlock analytics projects:

  1. Fleet Management (underway)
  2. Electricity Anomaly Detection (underway)
  3. Road Maintenance (capital and operational expenditure, and introducing apps and sensors to constantly assess road conditions)
  4. Animal Management (wild dogs)
  5. Footpath Maintenance (specifically tree roots lifting concrete, resulting in personal injury insurance claims)
  6. Drinking Water (treatment, storage and supply)
  7. Parks Maintenance (trees, land use, play equipment, maintenance and lawn care)
  8. Tourism (how to increase trade)
  9. Disaster Management (likely in partnership with Queensland Reconstruction Authority)
  10. Call Centre Management (complaints, performance dashboards)

And some of the more unique projects on the horizon…

  • Graffiti Management
  • Weed Control
  • Active Transport
  • Land Clearing
