Fifty amendments to the list of threatened species

Published: 15th May 2018

The Assistant Minister for the Environment, the Hon. Melissa Price MP, has approved the inclusion of 41 species, transfer of 6 species, removal of 3 species on the list of threatened species under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.

The amendments are effective from 11 May 2018. The 50 changes to the list are based on the best available science and thanks to national collaboration on a Common Assessment Method our protection of these species now matches state and territory environmental laws.

Further information on each species is available here.
