Your input is important: draft documents for new Councillor Complaints system

We have been working with the Local Government Liaison Group to provide documents that will become integral to the new Councillor Complaints system. These documents will assist with implementation of the new system and become important guides to working within the system into the future.

This is your chance to provide feedback on these important documents so please take the time to review them and submit your feedback.

  • Councillor Conduct Examples
  • Model Meeting Procedures
  • Standing Orders for Council Meetings including Standing Committees ‘Best Practice Guide’ and
  • Investigation Policy to Queensland Local Government Chief Executive Officers

NOTE: A key component of these reforms includes removing a council’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Department from the process of making preliminary assessments of complaints.
