Hughenden is in the running
The Queensland Tourism Industry Council has announced the Queensland Top Tourism Town Awards (say that three times fast), recognising the state’s diverse and outstanding destinations.
There are 17 finalists that are in the running across three categories, based on town size.
The finalists are:
Top Tourism Town Award (population over 5,000)
- Bowen
- Tamborine Mountain
- Bundaberg
- Rockhampton
- Caloundra
- Redcliffe
- Townsville
Top Small Tourism Town (population below 5,000)
- Airlie Beach
- Ingham
Top Tiny Toursim Town Award (population below 1,500)
- Richmond
- Winton
- Quilpie
- Hughenden
- Julia Creek
- Linville
- Rubyvale
- Toowoolawah
