The City of Logan has embraced its cultural diversity and produced a video featuring seven different languages: Burmese, Mandarin, Swahili, Arabic, Dari, Somali and English, to encourage migrants and refugees to learn to swim.
The ‘Now I Can Swim’ video, which can be played below, shows people from different cultural backgrounds sharing what they can do, like fishing and going to water parks, now that they can swim.
In the first 24 hours of the video being published on Facebook, it received more than 840 views.
The video received kudos from Royal Life Saving Australia, which commented on the video, “This is brilliant, well done all”.
