Hinchinbrook is one of Australia's largest island national parks
Hinchinbrook Shire Council has opened the voting for its ‘Don’t Waste Hinchinbrook’ photography competition, where the winning photo, or photos, will be featured on the shire’s new local waste truck.
Residents’ photos that have been shortlisted in the competition showcase the beauty of Hinchinbrook and respond to the photo competition’s ask of “why we should not waste Hinchinbrook”.
“Help us showcase the beauty of Hinchinbrook Shire with images that inspires and motivates us not to waste it,” Hinchinbrook Shire Council says.
There may be one, or multiple winning images, which will be displayed on the back of the new local waste truck.
Public voting closes on 14 November, with winners announced 19 November.
