Policy and planning

 

  • Does your Council have a youth policy?
  • Is it culturally inclusive?
  • How would you know if it was?
  • Does your Council have a multicultural policy?
  • Does it make specific mention of young people and how it relates to them?

Sometimes it is difficult to know where to start when it comes to the development of policy.  Check to see what has already been done in your Council and see if you can build on some of that.  Documented policies define the way that your program or organisation conducts its business.  They reflect the values that your organisation holds and the plans that it makes as a result.
