Program of research examining the factors impacting local government financial sustainability

The Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) is seeking expressions of interest (EOIs) from suitably qualified individuals or organisations to undertake a program of research examining the factors impacting local government financial sustainability.

The LGAQ is the peak body representing and supporting the interests of local government in Queensland.  Amongst other objectives, the LGAQ aims to promote the efficient performance of councils.

The Association has recently implemented a new operating model that has seen the organisation adopt a customer segment approach to providing service and support to its members.  In undertaking an assessment of the factors impacting local government financial sustainability, this research will need to adopt a customer segment focus.

Organisations or individuals are invited to provide an EOI in accordance with the submission requirements contained in the Information Kit.

EOIs will be evaluated against specified selection criteria.
The closing date for submission of EOIs is Wednesday, the 31st July 2011.

EOIs should be forwarded to:

Dr Rebecca Michael
Principal Advisor, Infrastructure Economics and Regional Development
Local Government Association of Queensland
PO Box 2230
FORTITUDE VALLEY  BC  QLD  4006

The LGAQ will only consider organisations or individuals who have submitted an EOI by the stated date.
