| Disaster Management Planning Tools
Planning is being conducted at all levels of Government. The LGAQ, working in collaboration with the State Government and with Brisbane City Council have developed Local Government Planning Notes - Pandemic Influenza. These planning notes provide guidance to councils on measures to ensure appropriate preparedness for a Pandemic should it eventuate. In addition, to assist local governments to understand the nature of the Human Influenza Pandemic threat a number of Quick Links have been compiled. These links point to various State/Federal and International websites with relevant information on both the Human and Avian Influenza threat. For more detail on Pandemic Planning please contact Michael Dickinson, Disaster Management Alliance Project Officer, DMAlliance@lgaq.asn.au or 3000 2102.
Disaster Management Planning Guidelines Queensland Disaster Management Planning Guidelines for Local Government 2005 have been issued to all Local Governments. The guidelines include a standardised plan template and also a status report template. These templates have been devised using all of the templates made available to the project across the State. These templates will also be provided on a CD that accompany the guidelines.
