Local council businesses come together under one name
The same great service from the same great people
The new company, Peak Services, will bring together several previously separate businesses solely owned by the Local Government Association of Queensland.
The LGAQ entities Localbuy, Propel, Local Government Infrastructure Services, Resolute IT and Total Solutions have come under the Peak umbrella.
Peak managing director and chief executive Brent Reeman said the move would improve on partnerships with local government by making sure its people were best placed to ensure councils could continue to deliver the best services to their community.
“For councils, the five specialist organisations will continue to operate as they know them - the same great service from the same great people,’’ he said.
“Another thing than won’t change is the strong connection with the LGAQ, which means Peak will have the advantage of 120 years’ delivering advice and services to the local government sector in Queensland and beyond.”
Peak boasts a high-powered board of directors, headed up by former national chair of law firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth Teresa Handicott and including former Suncorp bank chief David Foster and Leanne Muller, a former chief financial officer with the RACQ group who has held senior executive roles at Energex and Uniting Care.
