Onwards and Upwards
Mon 29 - Wed 31 October 2018
Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre
Returning to the State’s capital for the first time in six years, the 2018 conference focuses on our commitment to building better communities, no matter how tough the going gets. That is the business of councils.
This year we feature lots of home grown talent and experiences led by Brisbane Lord Mayor, the Right Hon Cr Graham Quirk, extra council showcases, extended break-out networking opportunities and an in-depth panel session on financial sustainability.
Conference 2018 will drive debate on issues and challenges facing local government and their communities, bring together State and local government and external stakeholders, media and industry suppliers.
As for entertainment, how can you beat Tim Finn backed by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra – all in all Conference 2018 is not to be missed!
“Brisbane is proud to host this year’s conference and contribute to the collective effort to ensure the voice of local governments across Queensland are heard. Brisbane is a city where you can make influential connections and expand your knowledge, not only through LGAQ membership and engagement activities, but through our city’s vast network of professionals and industry specialists,” Graham Quirk, Lord Mayor of Brisbane.
