Knowledge and information sharing forum, 9 November, Townsville

QCoast2100 is a Queensland Government commitment to a 12 million fund over three years, to assist councils advance coastal hazard adaptation planning. Following the Program’s official launch, continuous local government engagement by the LGAQ has seen a significant increase in interest and uptake for the Program with 19 councils awarded with funding to date for the development of their Coastal Hazard Adaptation Strategy (CHAS). This level of local government activity in adaptation planning presents an opportunity for practitioners and experts in key disciplines of a CHAS to share their experiences and capabilities.

 

The QCoast2100 Knowledge and Information Sharing forums bring together councils and key stakeholders to hear from industry experts and selected local government representatives on their CHAS journeys. Forum #3 will focus on:

  • Phase 3 - Identify areas exposed to current and future coastal hazards, and
  • Phase 4 - Identify key assets potentially impacted.
